TNV Inspection Division

The Independent Eye Your Business Needs

In any transaction between a buyer and a seller, both parties have something to gain — and something to hide. The buyer wants reassurance. The seller wants approval. Neither can fully trust the other’s word alone.

That is exactly where third party inspection comes in.

Third party inspection means an independent, neutral body — with no financial stake in the outcome — physically verifies the goods, the process, or the facility in question. No bias. No commercial pressure. No conflict of interest. Just facts, documented accurately, and reported honestly.

At TNV Inspection Division, we are that neutral body. We do not manufacture goods. We do not trade them. We do not represent buyers or sellers. We inspect — and we report what we find.

Our third party inspection services cover every stage of the supply chain — from raw material verification and production monitoring to pre-shipment clearance and loading supervision. Whatever stage your transaction is at, we provide the independent verification that gives both sides of the deal the confidence to proceed.

As a UAF-accredited inspection body operating under ISO/IEC 17020:2012, every inspection we conduct meets the highest international standard for independence and technical competence. Our reports are not opinions. They are evidence.

The Real Cost of Not Having an Independent Inspector

Many buyers trust supplier self-certification. Many exporters rely on internal quality control. And many of those decisions end up being very expensive mistakes. Here is what happens when there is no independent third party in the picture:

  • A supplier self-certifies quality that does not match the purchase order. The buyer receives the goods, discovers the problem, and files a dispute. Without an independent inspection report, neither party has reliable evidence. The dispute drags on — damaging the relationship and costing both sides money.
  • An exporter ships goods based on their own internal QC pass. The shipment reaches the destination and fails the importer’s incoming inspection. There is no independent pre-shipment report to reference. The exporter has no evidence of what left their facility. The importer refuses payment. The goods are stuck.
  • A manufacturer assures the buyer that production is on track and quality is fine. No third party visits the factory. The final batch arrives weeks later — incorrect specifications, wrong quantities, substandard workmanship. At that point there is nothing left to do except absorb the loss.
  • A Letter of Credit transaction requires an inspection certificate from an approved body. The exporter does not have one. The bank refuses to negotiate the LC. Payment is delayed — or lost entirely.

Independent third party inspection removes all of these risks. When an accredited inspection body like TNV Inspection Division issues a report, both buyer and seller have a trusted, neutral document they can rely on — and so do the bank, the insurer, and the customs authority.

How We Conduct Third Party Inspections — Our Process

Every third party inspection we conduct follows a structured, transparent, and fully documented process:

  1. Inspection Request Received — You tell us what you need inspected, where it is located, what standard or specification applies, and your timeline. We review the scope and respond within 24 hours with confirmation and a clear quote.
  2. Inspector Selected and Briefed — We assign a qualified inspector with technical knowledge relevant to your product category and industry. The inspector studies your purchase order, product specifications, approved samples, and any buyer-specific requirements before the visit.
  3. On-Site Visit Conducted — Our inspector physically visits the agreed location — supplier facility, production floor, warehouse, or port. In most cases the visit is without prior notice to the inspected party, ensuring our findings reflect actual conditions.
  4. Physical Inspection and Testing Performed — Goods are inspected using the appropriate method — visual examination, AQL sampling, dimensional measurement, functional testing, document review — depending on what the inspection requires.
  5. Non-Conformances Identified and Recorded — Any deviation from the agreed specification, standard, or requirement is documented with photographs, measurements, and a clear reference to the applicable standard clause.
  6. Formal Report Issued — A structured inspection report is delivered within 24 hours of the site visit. The report clearly states what was inspected, what was found, and whether the goods or facility conform — with no ambiguity and full photographic evidence.
  7. Certificate Issued Where Applicable — For inspections requiring a Certificate of Conformity or other formal certification, this is issued together with the inspection report upon a satisfactory result.
  8. Re-Inspection Available — If non-conformances are found and corrective action is taken, we return to verify the issues have been properly resolved before the goods are approved for release or shipment.

This means what our inspector sees reflects actual production conditions — not a specially prepared presentation. This is one of the key reasons our clients trust our findings.
  6. We Deliver Reports You Can Use — Our inspection reports are structured, evidence-based, and photograph-supported. Every non-conformance is clearly described with the applicable standard reference, the observed production condition, and photographic evidence. You always know exactly what we found and why it matters.
  7. We Cover 95+ Countries — Whether your supplier is in India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, China, Egypt, or anywhere else in the world — we have the reach to inspect at source during active production. You never have to accept unverified production quality just because your supplier is far away.

Ready to Inspect Your Production While It Is Still in Progress?

Do not wait for a failed final inspection or a rejected shipment to find out something went wrong during production. We will inspect your goods at the factory — independently, accurately, and at the right stage of production — so corrections can still be made before it is too late.

Contact us today to request an in-process inspection. Tell us your product type, supplier location, and production timeline — and we will handle the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ)

In-process inspection is an independent quality check conducted at your supplier's factory while production is actively underway — typically when 20 to 60 percent of manufacturing is complete. It is needed because production problems caught during manufacturing are significantly cheaper and faster to correct than problems discovered at final inspection or after shipment.

Typically when 20 to 60 percent of production is complete. This gives the inspector enough finished or near-finished units to evaluate meaningfully, while leaving enough remaining production to implement corrections if needed. For long or complex production runs, we can conduct inspections at multiple agreed stages.

In most cases, no. We conduct in-process inspections without advance notice to the supplier. This ensures our findings reflect actual production conditions — not what someone has prepared for us to see. This is one of the key reasons our clients trust our reports.

We issue a Non-Conformance Report clearly identifying what failed, against which specification, and with supporting photographic evidence. Your supplier is expected to take corrective action immediately — adjusting the process, replacing materials, or retraining workers. We can return to verify corrections have been implemented before production continues.

In-process inspection happens during manufacturing — when there is still time to correct problems before the full batch is complete. Pre-shipment inspection happens after production is finished and goods are ready to ship. Both serve important but different purposes. In-process catches problems early. Pre-shipment provides final clearance before loading

Yes. For complex products or long production runs, we can conduct inspections at multiple agreed stages — for example at 25%, 50%, and 75% of production completion. Each visit generates its own structured report so you have complete visibility throughout the manufacturing cycle.

Yes. As a UAF-accredited inspection body, our reports are internationally recognised. UAF is a signatory of the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement, which means our reports carry the same standing as those issued by the largest global inspection companies. Buyers, regulators, and government authorities across 95+ countries accept our inspection certificates.

Once we receive your inspection request with all relevant details, we aim to schedule the inspection within 24 to 72 hours depending on location and inspector availability. For urgent requirements, please contact us directly and we will do our best to accommodate your timeline.
